The Chakisar tehsil administration has registered cases and imposed fines on dairy-milk dealers after laboratory reports confirmed the milk locally sold is contaminated and adulterated.
Assistant commissioner, Chakisar, Muhammad Hamid Saddiqui accompanied by Livestock department’s team conducted raids in Chakisar tehsil of Shangla on Friday.
They have lodged FIRs and imposed fines of Rs 56000 on the dairy milk dealers and Kabab restaurants after laboratory reports confirmed the dairy milk adulterated and contaminated and unhygienic meat used in Kabab.
The mobile laboratory had collected 113 samples of the milk from the different markets of the tehsil Chakisar in which 106 samples reports confirmed the milk contaminated and adulterated.
AC Chakisar Muhammad Hamid Saddiqui told journalists that it proved that chemical were being used in the Milk at large scale and that caused health problems for the local consumers.
He said he had lodged FIRs against shopkeepers and milk suppliers who used chemical and sell adulterated milk and also the beef Kabab which also found substandard after being tested in the mobile laboratory.
AC Chakisar urged the local people to register their complaints with local administration when they found sub-standard foods being sold in the market and milk etc and he promised that he would not spared anyone putting the people lives at risk.
