The poets of various literary circles belong to different parts of Shangla on Tuesday demanded of the federal government to probe the funds distribution in Shangla which they said distributed among irrelevant people by the politician.
They told journalists on Tuesday that former advisor to the prime minister had brought funds from the federal directorate of culture which was supposed to be given to the poets who had written their books and playing their role for the betterment of society.
Prominent poets from the different parts of Shangla, Attaur Rehman Atta, Dr Hamdard Yousafzai, Aqal Zada Aqil, Muhammad Ali Shams and others claimed that the Pakistan Muslim-League-Nawaz provincial president, Amir muqam had called some people in his hujra in Puran where he had distributed cheques of Rs 145,000 each among 22 persons in which 2 unknown persons were showed as media persons.
Aqal Zada Aqil said he had written three books, Hamdard Yousafzai was an award recipient poet and written books and Attaur Rehman Atta was also a well recognized poet from the district and several others who were known of their poetry in the district and written books had been ignored in the funds.
He claimed that he did not know the poets awarded with the funds by Amir Muqam he brought from his department in federal.
Amir muqam was advisor to the PM Shehbaz Shairf on culture and heritage from where he had brought the funds for the Shangla poets and artists and distributed in hujra two weeks ago.
Some cheques were distributed in Peshawar among the artists by Amir Muqam earlier this event.
Dr Hamdard Yousafzai said he knew 4-5 poets among those who received the cheques and the rest of poets and singers were fake and received the payment illegally because he never seen their books or a single piece of poetry as yet.
He said it was injustice with the people of Pashtu literature and local literary circles and they wanted probe through the relevant investigating agencies and action against the authorities who illegally issued the cheques to irrelevant people.
The PML-N KP chief and former advisor to the PM, Amir Muqam when contacted he admitted that it was the fault of his team he had assigned the task to constitute the list of local poets, singers and artists and he was not aware about it.
He said that he would bring more funds in the future for those who were provided with the funds.
POLITICAL ACTIVISTS JOINED PML-N: Score of political activists from Awami National Party and Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf joined the PML-N on Tuesday here at Dehrai area of Alpuri.
They announced their joining during a worker convention held at Dehrai where former MNA and PML-N leader Ibadullah was the chief guest.
Afzal Khan, Bakht Zeb Khan, Javid Iqbal, Fazal Zeb, Bahramand, Jehangir, Qadar Zada, Zakir, Nasib Zada, Khan Zada, Ismail Khan, Muhammad Umar, Umar Zaman, Gul Sher, Ihsanullah and others joined the PML-N and quit their parties from ANP and PTI along with their supporters and family members.
Former MNA Ibadullah assured the new entrants that they would be happy with them in the PML-N and their support would be continued with the entire area people.
