Shangla in top three in KP’s vaccination progress

SHANGLA: The Shangla district has vaccinated around 50,000 persons against Covid-19, thus becoming the third district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to have achieved the milestone.

Talking to mediapersons on Friday, deputy district health officer Dr Ghafoor Khan said the district had received 35,064 jabs of Sinopharm, Sinovac and Cansino vaccines in the second phase, and more vials would arrive in couple of days.

He said in the second phase they had received 35064 vaccines of Sinopharm, Sinovac and Cansino and more to be arrived in a couple of days.

DDHO said in overall covid-19 vaccination Shangla was going well and remained in top three in the province as the health department especially the lady health workers who referred women of the 18 above age to the vaccination centers where they were vaccinated timely.

He said if the vaccination progress was continued in this speed they would achieve the entire district target very soon and the district would be protected from the deadly virus.

Replying to a question, he said the issue of delay in message for second dose was discussed with the DG health and steps should be taken for it by the provincial and federal authorities to avoid delay in second dose of vaccination.

BAN: The district administration Shangla has imposed ban on the transportation of cattle from the district to other district amid the Eidul-Azha and in order to avoid hike in the price of animals for Eid.

A notification issued by the DC Shangla Hamid Ur Rehman on Friday said that following the public complaint about increase of price of the cattle the transportation of cattle to other district from Shangla the ban had been imposed under section 144 of Crpc for a month.

It said the police at the exist points of the district had been instructed to not exit any truck loaded with cattle to other district
