Houses set on fire, animals perished in Chakesar

SHANGLA: Including buffaloes seven animals perished and houses completely gutted after opponents of the houses’ owners set the houses on fire at Kareen area of Chakesar tehsil here on Sunday, however, no human loss was reported in the incident.

Police said that following the information of the local people they had reached the Kareen area of Chakesar where two houses of Sherin Jan and his brother Amal Jan were completely gutted and including four buffaloes, two cows and an ox were killed.

They said that the house owner claimed in the statement recorded for the first information report that the houses were allegedly set on fire by

Saida, Sabir Rehman and Saleem Khan in the mid of night.

They also claimed that Rs 600,000 had burnt in the houses and other valuables lying in the houses, however, family members had safely exited the houses.

Police said they had been lodged an FIR against the nominated suspects under sections 436, 429 and 427/34 of Pakistan Penal Code and begun further interrogation and the alleged suspects had also arrested.

Police said after the hectic efforts of the family members and neighbors had extinguished the flame.

SIX INJURED: Six people were injured when a pickup plunged into a ravine at Shen Sar area of Karora here on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 officials said that the pickup was on its way to Shen Sar from Karora when its driver lost control over the steering as a result the pickup fell down into the ravine.

The Rescue 1122 officials said that six people were injured in the incident to whom they had provided first aid and then shifted to district headquarters hospital, Alpuri.

They said the wounded men were hailing from Shen Sar village of Karora.
