SHANGLA: A 15-year-old boy drowned in Indus River here on Saturday.
According to locals, two cousins Naeemur Rehman and Nadeem were catching fish in the Indus River when Naeem slipped into deep waters and drowned.
Nadeem also jumped into the river to save his cousin, but failed in his effort.
They said that local divers had started efforts to retrieve the body, but could not succeed in their search till late in the evening.
GUTTED: A bakery’s baking store was gutted at Shahpur, Shangla, on Friday night.
Police officials said the baking store of one Habibullah caught fire from a gas cylinder.
They said that two men were also injured while trying to put out the fire.
