SHANGLA: four new Covid-19 cases were reported in Shangla district taking the district’s tally of virus patients to 22.

Deputy commissioner of Shangla Imran Hussain Ranjha said the health department had received 13 test reports, which disclosed four residents suffered from the virus.

He added that the rest of the suspected cases were cleared.

The deputy commissioner said the infected people had travelled to Karachi and returned to native towns in Martung tehsil came via Torghar district.

He said all patients had been quarantined in the Government Degree College, Puran, quarantine centre and would be shifted to the isolation ward of THQ Hospital, Puran.

Mr Ranjha said the new patients worked as labrourers in Karachi and they’re 20, 22 and 25.

He said the administration had sealed the area, where the patients belonged to, while samples were being collected from their close relatives.
