SHANGLA: Regional Police officer, Malakand division, Ijaz Khan, visited Martung tehsil where a constable was shot dead last week and offered condolences with the bereaved family and also urged the local community to help the police to trace the culprits involved in the murder of policeman.
District police officer, Shangla Malak Ihjaz and local station house officer, Afzal Khan were also present on the occasion.
RPO said Shangla had been peaceful always even in militancy but the killing of policeman had raised several questions over the area peace sustainability.
He said that he heard from the slain police colleagues that he was a brave and dutiful personal but police jointly with local have to provide him justice which was not possible without the locals cooperation.
The RPO also made an announcement that martyred package would be granted to the slain policeman’s heirs and his salary would also be paid to the family for his children livelihood.
Later on, the RPO Malakand, inspected the ongoing anti-polio campaign security along the Bunir district bordering area and asked the force to be vigilant and alert during the campaign.
He also checked up the entry and exit points of the district and asked the policemen to perform their duty with a passion.
