Hospitals in Battagram and Shangla set up coronavirus isolation wards

SHANGLA: District administration and health department jointly have started precautionary measures after the district declared sensitive to Corona deadly virus, which has hit a city of China.
It was said by the additional deputy commissioner Shangla Maqbool Hussain here on Wednesday after the health department issued a notification for precautionary measures.
The ADC said that an isolation ward was established at the tehsil headquarters hospital Bisham and alerted the local administration in view of the novol Corona virus cases reported in China for keeping check on the hospitals, Chinese nationals movement.
He added that they also nominated the assistant commissioner Bisham Khuram Jadoon as focal person for the purpose as well as to hold awareness campaigns about the deadly disease.
The ADC said that the health department has also constituted a team and nominated focal person Dr Hafiz Sanaullah, who is deputy medical superintendent at the THQ hospital Bisham.
The health committee will collect the data of China camps and Chinese nationals working at the different areas of the district Shangla.
The ADC replied to journalist that as such there was not any case reported from the district but the administration will be vigilant in view of the Novol Corona virus as the Bisham city of Shangla links the China through the Karakoram Highway and Chinese nationals constantly use the route for their travel purposes and also work in the Multi billion project China-Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC.
The administration has also launched awareness campaigns in the district about the Corona virus and people were being guided that how to protect from the deadly disease.
The wards were also established by the health department at Battagram as seven districts of KP and some of Gilgit Baltistan had been declared vulnerable to the virus.
