Sikh community man from Shangla shot dead in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Malaysia returned Sikh community man was shot dead on Saturday night by unknown assailants, while his dead body found from limits of Chamkani police station in Peshawar on Sunday morning.
Police official told The Northern Post that Parvender Singh, resident of Chakesar Shangla was shot dead at midnight in limits of Chamkani police station on Saturday night and his body was recovered a Nullah near Chamkni police station today on (Sunday) morning by police.
Police said, according to the First Information report statement, Parvender had gone Peshawar for shopping to buy gold and other things for his wedding but last night late time around 11 o’clock his brother Tavendar received a call from Pavender phone and a man was saying that he has killed his brother and take the dead body from limits of Chamkni police station.
They said the slain Sikh community man was returned from Malaysia after spending six years for feeding his family and his weeding was scheduled next month in February 2020.
They, the deceased had received one bullet in the head which caused his death.
Parvender was a younger brother of Harmeet Singh who is first Sikh community’s male anchor in Pakistan and a prominent journalist.
