Coalminer body yet to be pulled out, rescue work continues for seventh day

Dara Adam Khel: Relatives of a coalmine worker who has been stuck under a mine at Kala Khel area in Dara Adam Khel five a week ago, demanded to pull out the body of their loved one, who fell down after the mine had erupted fire.

Engineer Miraj, brother of the victim Naik Muhammad told The Northern Post that his brother was working as (Mate) incharge at coalmine at Kala Khel area of Dara Adam Khel, on last Sunday early in the morning over suspicion of Methane gas two labours and he himself went down to the extremely narrow mine where they witnessed the signs of dangoures Methane gas and they decided to climb up back to the surface but Naik Muhammad fell down on the way from the track, while the two labours reached to the surface.

He said, the rescue operation is underway with the lesser resources but due to the narrow size of mine and no alternative route and huge Methane gas inside the mine the dead body remained inside the mine and rescue workers unable to go down.

He said, the government have numerous of resources and machines through which it can take out his brother dead body but yet it moved any step to recover the body.

Mr Meraj, who is social media head of the Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaf in Shangla said, his brother dead body inside the mine for the six five days and government did hear his voice yet and just two rescuers are engaged in the operation but they haven’t proper tools to take out the body and other hand uncertainty remains and family in deep sorrow.
