SHANGLA: Doctors, Paramedics in Shangla on Monday observed pen-down strike while closing the outpatient’s departments of the entire hospitals protesting in support of their demands.
The strike was called by the doctors provincial leadership after a clash between the police and doctors in Peshawar. Doctors, Paramedics boycotted from the duty and closed the OPDs of the all hospitals including district headquarters hospital Alpuri, Tehsil headquarters hospital Bisham, THQ hospital Puran and other health facilities.
The protesting doctors said that they will never accept the government newly passed act of privatization which is not in favour of both public and doctor community.
They said, their pen down strike will be continued till the next order of provincial leadership.
Patients, children, women and the elderly have faced severe problems due to the doctors strike and crying the patients lying outside the OPD Bisham.
