Seven dengue cases reported in Bisham tehsil

HANGLA: Seven dengue cases reported in tehsil Bisham of Shangla district here on Sunday, after surfacing first cases in the season panic was created among the community.

According to Kamal Zada, who is a spokesperson at the health department in anti-dengue program, said, about 7 dengue cases reported from Maira union council of Bisham tehsil during last two days in which 4 have been admitted in the dengue isolation ward established in the tehsil headquarters hospital Bisham.

He said, measures are being taken for anti-dengue spray, mosquito net and to get ensured plateless tests at the laboratories of hospitals tehsil Bisham.

He said the cases may be increased with the passage of time because the situation seems worst, however, the health department is striving to control the dengue virus in the area.

Mr Zada, said, awareness walk would be arranged in the various parts of the district as it is the part of the anti-dengue campaign.

Habib Khan, a local elder, complained that he had brought his patient to THQ hospital Bisham where the doctor advised him a plateless test but when they went to the laboratory where the technician asked them to go outside the hospital for the test and the facility is not available in the government-run hospital.

He urged the government to take prompt action on the issue and must ensure the facility of conduction dengue tests and also medicines, isolation wards at the hospitals.
