KP government issues appointment orders to 156 newly appointed ASDEOs

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department appointed 156 new education officers on Monday.

During a ceremony held in the Committee Room of the Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Arshad Ayub Khan, distributed appointment orders to the newly appointed Assistant Sub-Divisional Education Officers (ASDEOs). Secretary of Education Muhammad Khalid Khan and Directress of Education Naghmana Sardar were also in attendance.

In his address, the Minister emphasised the significance of these appointments for enhancing the overall performance of the department. He highlighted their role in ensuring transparency in school-level administration and effectively implementing ongoing reforms. The Minister assured that all appointments were made strictly on merit through a transparent process facilitated by the Provincial Public Service Commission.

Arshad Ayub Khan stated that the inclusion of these new officers in the management cadre would strengthen the system, fill existing gaps, and better execute the department’s reform agenda.

He directed the Education Department to initiate a six-week specialised training program for the newly appointed ASDEOs starting next week. This training will cover educational management, school monitoring, reform implementation, and service delivery models to enhance their administrative capabilities.

Congratulating the new officers, the Minister remarked that their merit-based selection carries a significant responsibility. “Education is a noble profession, and it is now your duty to actively contribute to improving the education system,” he emphasised.

In conclusion, Arshad Ayub Khan reaffirmed the government’s commitment, under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to continue implementing practical measures that lead to meaningful and result-oriented reforms for the betterment of the education sector.
