Student in Punjab gets e-challan for waving at safe city camera

A student in Punjab’s Sargodha received an E-Challan after he waved at a Safe City Camera while riding without a helmet.
A unique incident reportedly occurred on the Sargodha-Lahore road when a student saluted a safe city camera while riding his motorcycle.
Days later, he received an e-challan of Rs 2,000 from the Safe City Authority, citing the violation of riding without a helmet.
The image capturing the incident was taken at 7:43 AM on August 26, 2025, showing the young man riding without a helmet. The Safe City Authority issued the Challan on October 8, 2025, and it was set to expire on October 18.
