Population Welfare Department (PWD) Lower Dir sets up flood relief camp to provide medical relief in support Shangla Office at Girls Degree College Chagam Tehsil Puran District Shangla KP.
Core purpose of camp was to assist the flood effectees of far-flung area & provision of medicines render essential healthcare to flood affectees.
The afore mentioned camp was held on dated 30/8/2025 upon the directives of Worthy Malik Liaquat Ali Khan Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) KP & honourable Dr. Aneela Mahfooz Durrani Secretary Population Welfare Department KP.
The said Medical Relief camp offered free medical check- up general patients Medicines, Counselling & health awareness on the spot. A total of 174 patients male & female were attended.
DPWO lower Dir team included Dr. Hilal Uddin Pharmacist, Mr.Shah Nawaz Khan Deputy Demographer Mr.iftikhar Ahmed District Supervisor. Along with PWD Shangla also deputed Family Welfare Workers Counsellor Family Welfare Workers FWWs & Family Welfare Assistants for the facilitation & support of the camp.
Due to the recent devestating rain & flood in the camp locality majority of patients suffering from Conjunctivitis / eyes disease, Scabies & dyhrria. To above mentioned diseases camps provided eyes drops’ locations & antibiotics were prescribed & issued on the spot to heal them promptly.
Furthermore, the camp not only provided medical check-up but also sensitize , educate & prevent aspect was stressed by the care givers to mitigate the risks of disease.
Prompting preventive side Health hygiene stuffs were issued to the clients from camp organizer to
to assist, acquaint & prevent them from diseases.
DPWO & Sociologist personally interacted with patients & to assess their state mind. Patients found mentally stressed & terrified by flood disaster.
It’s therefore recommended to that team of psychologist may be send to guide & counselling the effectees to mitigate the stress & anxiety.
DPWO Lower Dir personally at Camp & monitored the camp to ensure the successful camp conduction & provide maximum medical Relief to the locals of flood effectees.
At the end of the Medical Relief activity at Shangla District Population Welfare handover General Medicines to Shangla office With the worthy presence of Malik Liaquat Ali Special Assistant Chief Minister on Population Welfare Department KP. The SACM also appreciated DPWO lower Dir & his team awarded with certificates and acknowledged their tower high determination, services for flood effectees in remote flood hit area.
