Islamabad airport to temporarily halt international flights

Flight suspensions scheduled from August 6-13; passengers advised to confirm schedules

The Pakistan Airport Authority has announced that the arrival and departure of international flights at Islamabad International Airport will be temporarily suspended for specific days to facilitate the rehearsal of the Independence Day Parade.

According to the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), all flights will remain suspended on August 11, 12, and 13 from 8 pm to 10 pm. All airlines are instructed not to schedule any flights during this time.

It was also mentioned in the notice that the flights will remain suspended during different times of day from 6 to 9 August, which includes a special suspension from 11 am to 1 pm.

Airport Authority has advised the passengers to confirm their flight time before departure to avoid any inconvenience. Airlines have been instructed to make the required schedule changes and inform the passengers accordingly.

These temporary suspensions are part of the security and administrative preparations for the 77th Independence Day celebrations, which will be held with full official dignity in the federal capital.
