The Karakoram Highway was blocked in the Tata Pani area of the Diamer district in Gilgit-Baltistan due to landslides on Tuesday night.
According to officials from the Diamer police, the blockage at Tata Pani has led to the suspension of traffic in both directions on the road.
In their statement, police officials urged tourists and other travelers to avoid using the road.
The Karakoram Highway frequently gets blocked in the Tata Pani area during rainfall, especially during the monsoon season, as it is prone to landslides.
The Karakoram Highway connects the Gilgit-Baltistan region with the rest of the country and China via the Khunjerab Pass.
