Pakistan crushes India 14-1 to reach West Asia Baseball Cup final

Defending champions dominate arch-rivals, set up title clash against Palestine

Pakistan’s baseball team delivered a crushing 14-1 victory over India in the West Asia Baseball Cup semifinal in Karaj, Iran, securing their place in the tournament final while maintaining an unbeaten run. The mercy rule was invoked after seven innings as Pakistan’s overwhelming performance left no chance for an Indian comeback.

From the first pitch, Pakistan’s batters dominated, scoring five runs each in the first and third innings. Third baseman Hussain starred with a 2-for-4 performance, driving in two runs and scoring four times, while Muhammad Haris and the bullpen limited India to just one early run. India’s defense crumbled with 10 fielding errors and eight walks issued by their pitchers.

The victory sets up a final against Palestine as Pakistan looks to defend their title. Pakistan Federation Baseball President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah dedicated the win to the country’s armed forces. Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan topped Group B with dominant wins over Bangladesh (10-6) and hosts Iran (14-0).

The event, organized by the Baseball Federation of Asia under the World Baseball Softball Confederation, also confirms Pakistan’s qualification for the Asian Baseball Championship.
