SHANGLA: Students of a private school in Damorai Shangla exhibited their different arts and science models by showcasing their creative art skills here on Saturday.
Students of a private school during annual art competition event held here at Damorai in Shangla on Saturday. Both boys and girls students displayed different art and science models made with wood, plastic, trash, Soil, Cloth and Paper.
“I used different trash items and made helicopter model. I am making models of different things since childhood as I am interested in art,” Jawad Ahmed Khan, a 5th grader told Dawn.
Safia Ahmed, a 4th grader said she made house with the help of plastic, paper and other things and that was the best one house model in the competition.
She said first time in her life she used her creative skills and got immense appreciation for it from the teachers and local elders.
Safwan Khan, another student who has exhibited his model of Burj-Al-Arab which was he made from wood which had attracted the participants and students on the occasion.
“I want to use my skills and show my talent to the world, but the government support is essential for that. I can make any kind of art and science model but unfortunately like other district, government and NGO’s not holds exhibition event in Shangla where they could display their models,” Salman Khan, another student who has exhibited his model of mosque, said.

He said that he used cardboard for making model of mosque, Pakistani flag also.
“I was inspired by watermill where I used to go with my uncle for flour grinding, after seeing that machine I made watermill with the help of wood, trash items,” Said, Jabir Hayat, another student.
“We found our students very interested and intelligent in making hand made arts and science models and exhibited during the annual competition” Najeeb Ahmed, a teacher said.
He said their students are talented and creative skilled they could win meddle by making such models and other art work.
“The collection of student’s handicrafts show that how they love their culture and society. They simply arranged woods , papers , hard boards, plastics etc into models but these models reflect that these teenagers have their own dreams of future to become human resources if the government groom their guts,” Naveed Khan, a local participant said.
Participants and teachers on the occasion lauded the students for making amazing models.
