Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mardan, Dr. Azmatullah Wazir, presided over a meeting of the District Development Committee. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Syed Fahad Iftikhar, officials from the Irrigation Department, Public Health Department, TMA, C&W Department, and other relevant departments.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner approved development schemes for the fiscal year 2024-25 under the new development program. The approved schemes include 24 crore rupees for the electricity sector, 5 crore rupees for sanitation, sports, and solarization of mosques, 14 crore rupees for street solarization, 12 crore rupees for the road sector, and 5 crore rupees for canal and irrigation development.
In line with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s “Public Agenda,” Deputy Commissioner Mardan issued necessary instructions to all relevant development departments to ensure the timely and quality completion of approved programs and projects. He emphasized the importance of providing better services to ensure that the public receives all possible facilities.
The meeting focused on ensuring the effective implementation of development projects to improve public welfare and infrastructure across the district.
