For the first time ladies constables and police personnel in Shangla donated their blood in a blood camp arranged in the wake of remembrance of the police martyred, the police martyred week is continued in Shangla.
A blood donation camp was arranged by the Shangla police at police in Alpuri on Monday where including ladies police (who donated blood for the first time), district police officer, Shangla, Imran Khan, 70 police men donated their blood for thalassemia patients in remembrance of their martyred fellow policemen.
To mark police martyrdom, different events held in every district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from July last week to August in which camps are established at every major police station across the district where people write notes about the martyred police and paid homage to them.
While speaking to media persons, District police officer, Shangla, Imran Khan said that donating blood was meant to pay tribute and remembrance of the martyred police who rendered their lives in the line of duty in protection of the motherland.
He said the martyred police were alive in the heart of nation and they will always be remembered and their sacrifices for the today of nation and they proud of their martyred colleagues.
DPO Shangla said the blood had been donated to those children suffering of deadly Thalassemia disease who required the blood constantly for their survival.
Superintendent of police, investigation wing, Shangla, Zahid Khan, Divisional police officer, headquarters, Jehanzeb khan supervised the blood donation camp and donated their bloods too and over 70 police personals among them were ladies constables too who donated their bloods for the first time.
POWER LOADSHEDING DECREASED:
Followed by taking action on the public anger and protest rallies, the federal minister for Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmer affairs, Amir Muqam rescheduled the loadsheding schedule which was issued earlier this week increasing the power outage to 19 hours in Shangla district.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president and MNA elect from Shangla, Amir Muqam had taken action on the electricity loadsheding and asked the chief executive officer, Pesco who later updated the schedule of power outage decreasing the power outage duration to 10-12 hours on different feeders.
Meanwhile, the Bisham bazaar trade union has also postponed their strike they given a call of it for today, July, 30 against excessive power outages.
The Bisham trade union, president, Mohammad Zada told journalist on Monday that after reinstating of the previous loadsheding schedule they had decided to postpone the shutter down strike and protest announced to be held today on Tuesday in Bisham bazaar on Karakoram Highway.
