A Bengaluru woman alleged harassment on a Rapido Driver while going back from Church Street to PG residence. This incident happened on November 6th after which woman shared the detailed video of the incident happened to her.
She wrote on her Instagram post, “Today, 06.11.2025, in Bengaluru (Karnataka), I faced something I never thought I would. While returning to my PG from Church Street on a Rapido ride, the captain tried to grab my legs while riding. It happened so suddenly that I couldn’t even process it, let alone record it. When he did it again, I told him, “Bhaiya, kya kar rahe ho, mat karo,” but he didn’t stop.”

According to woman she was unaware of the route that’s why she was afraid to stop the driver. She also wrote, “By the time we reached my destination, I was shivering and in tears.”
Luckily a kind man passing by noticed her tension and raised the issue in front of the driver. According to woman, driver asked for forgiveness and tried to run but before going he raised his fingers at me in threatening manner, that made me feel even more unsafe.
Woman also shared the video of the unwanted moment by the driver in which the man’s arm can be seen on women’s leg. She also shared the details of driver’s details and also shared the screenshot of the message, which proved that she also saw this moment.

After the viral post, Bengaluru City Police and Rapido company promised to take immediate actions against the driver. Police has also started further investigation after contacting the woman. however, Rapido company also assured to take action against driver.
After few days she also shared an update in which she thanked police and Rapido team for cooperating with her and told that CCTV footage also proved her allegations.
This incident occured when people were rising issues related to women safety. Women also emphasized in her post that, “no woman should have to go through something like this — not in a cab, not on a bike, not anywhere. this is not the first time something similar has happened to me. but today i just couldn’t stay silent because of how unsafe i felt. Please stay alert, trust your instincts, and don’t stay silent.”
