Chilgoza prices slash in half in Multan markets

Cost of winter delicacy plummets from Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 8,000 per kg, bringing cheer to customers and shopkeepers

The price of Chilghoza (Pine Nuts) reduced significantly in Multan, which has reduced the cost of the delicacy of winter upto 50% as compare to last year.

The price of Chilgoza was at Rs. 16,000 per kilogram last year, and now it is vailable for Rs. 8,000 per kilo. This reduction in price is due to the bumper crop this season.

Shopkeepers report that the markets have been refreshed due to this significant price reduction. A vendor said, “The yield of pine nuts is abundant this year, which is why the rates have been cut by half, the markets are crowded now because the prices have fallen.”

This news has spread happiness among citizens specially among those who consider pine nuts, a a staple of winter social gatherings.

“Expensive pine nuts were something we had to think twice about buying last year,” shared one local citizen. “Now, they have become an essential part of our winter festivities, and we are buying them freely.”
