Samsung is expanding the global reach of its Galaxy AI platform with the addition of Filipino and Gujarati language support, strengthening its commitment to making advanced AI tools more inclusive and accessible across diverse regions.
Galaxy AI, launched in early 2024, has gradually expanded its language support over time. By April 2024, the platform supported 16 languages, and that number rose to 20 by December. With the most recent updates, Galaxy AI now speaks 22 languages, which covers about 5.9 billion people, or 74% of the world’s population.
Both Languages, Filipino and Gujarati, are provided to download as language packs through the Settings option in the Application. The concern that makes these languages underutilized in AI is that 87 million people speak Filipino, whereas almost 62.5 million people speak Gujarati.
These inventions are more useful and convenient for the regional users. Samsung Research Centers in India and Indonesia worked together to develop additional languages, which reflects the company’s regional partnership strategy.
According to Samsung, while 47% of Galaxy S25 customers strongly rely on AI capabilities for everyday tasks, over 70% of users frequently utilize Google Gemini and Galaxy AI. After crossing the 200 million mark last year, the business hopes to build on this momentum and introduce Galaxy AI to over 400 million devices by the end of 2025.
