Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khanum faces passport suspension by ATC

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday ordered the blocking of the passport and national identity card of Aleema Khanum, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, over her continued absence in the November 26 protest case.

According to court proceedings, ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah issued the directive after Aleema Khanum failed to appear before the court. Following the order, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and passport authorities submitted a compliance report confirming the implementation of the court’s instructions.

The court further ordered that Aleema Khanum be arrested and produced before the court by October 30.

In the same case, the court has summoned five witnesses, whose statements are scheduled to be recorded during the next hearing. The proceedings will also be presided over by Judge Amjad Ali Shah.
