WAPDA Hydro Society Kohat wins title of Afridi Champion League Football Tournament
The final of the fifth session of the Afridi Champion League Football Tournament was held grandly at Sipah Mandi Kass Ground, Bara district, Khyber.

KOHAT: Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) hydro society Kohat defeated Gladiator Kohat by one goal and won the title of Afridi Champion League football tournament.
The final of the fifth session of the Afridi Champion League Football Tournament was held grandly at Sipah Mandi Kass Ground, Bara district, Khyber.
The Additional Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was the special guest at the ceremony. WAPDA Hydro Society Kohat defeated Gladiator Kohat by one goal and won the title. Cash prize of Rs. 200,000 was given to the winning team, while the runner-up team was given a cash prize of Rs. 100,000.
According to the spokesperson of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12 teams participated in the tournament, eight teams were from Khyber district, while four teams were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan.
The guests in the ceremony included Commandant Bara Rifles Colonel Amir Tauseef, Assistant Commissioner Bara Talha Rafique, and District Sports Officer Khyber Muhammad Hussain Orakzai.
The spokesperson said that the special guests appreciated the youth’s interest in sports and said that such events promote peace, harmony, and positive activities in the area.
The league aims to provide healthy entertainment to the youth and highlight their talent so that they can showcase their skills at the national and international levels.
