KP govt makes major changes in provincial cabinet
The reshuffle marks a strategic reorganisation within the KP cabinet as the government aims to streamline departmental performance and enhance governance.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced a significant reshuffle in the provincial cabinet, by making changes in key ministerial portfolios and the appointment of new special assistants.
According to sources, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Dr Amjad has been elevated to the position of provincial minister.
It said that Hameed-ur-Rehman, a member of the provincial assembly elected from Bajaur, had been appointed as the special assistant to the chief minister.
Arbab Asim has been appointed as the special assistant for elementary and secondary education. He has been given this portfolio after the resignation of Faisal Tarakai.
Similarly, Provincial Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman has been given the charge of the health department, while Fazal Shakoor has been given the portfolio of the tourism department.
Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali has been given the excise department portfolio. Zahid Chanzeb has been appointed as the advisor for labour.
Pakhtun Yar has been given the portfolio of the sports department, while Fakhar Jahan has been given the responsibility of the public health engineering department. Similarly, Special Assistant Israr has been given the charge of the irrigation department.
