Terrorist attack in Diamer: two GB scouts personnel martyred, one injured

Two Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) scouts personnel were martyred, and another was injured when a terrorist group attacked a checkpost.

According to a spokesperson of the GB government, Faizullah Firaq, including a naib Subedar, Unknown armed men attacked the checkpost where three persons of the GB Scouts sustained injuries.

He said the injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital, Chilas, where two of them succumbed to their injuries.

The incident occurred on the Karakoram highway in the Diamer district Hodur area on Thursday night.

Faizullah Firaq said that A Naib Subedar and a Havaldar are among the Gilgit martyrs and the injured underwent medical assistantce.

He said the miscreants would be brought to justice.
