3 dead, 4 rescued, over 15 tourists missing in Gilgit floods
Rescue Operations Underway; Communication Down, Highways Blocked — Locals and Govt Step In to Shelter Stranded Tourists

In Gilgit, 8 tourist vehicles were swept away in flood disasters. In these flood incidents, Rescue 1122 found three dead bodies, while four injured people were rescued. More than 15 tourists are still missing, and a rescue operation is in progress to find them.
Rescue spokesman Faizullah Faraq said that four injured people were rescued and transferred to the hospital. Medical assistance to the wounded is in process; the condition of one injured is critical. Three dead tourists’ bodies have been recovered.
According to the Rescue spokesman, more than 8 tourist vehicles were swept away in the flood. The communication system has been destroyed due to the breakage of the fibre. Thousands of tourists are struck, and they are disconnected from their homes. The government has rescued thousands of tourists, and many of the locals have provided shelters to the tourists.
Faizullah Faraq said that the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has issued an order to use all the resources to rescue the tourists. Babusar highway is closed at many places, and many roads, fields, and other areas have been destroyed.
