11 Madrasah students injured as pickup falls into ravine in Swat

The incident occurred in the tourist destination Bahrain Swat on Monday morning.

At least eleven Seminary students were injured after a Suzuki Pickup fell into a deep ravine due to overspeeding in the Kedam area of Bahrain in Swat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.

According to the spokesperson for the Rescue 1122, Swat, 11 students were injured in the incident and have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.

He said the vehicle was carrying the Madrasah students to their homes back to Kalam from the Batkhela area of Malakand on their holidays.

Rescue 1122 official says all the injured students were hailing from Kalam, Swat.

As soon as Rescue 1122 received the information, they reached the scene with a medical and water rescue team. They found both children after a long search operation and handed them to their families. Victims include 14-year-old Yaman and 16-year-old Saleem.
Locals are advised to avoid bathing in canals and also to prevent their children from doing so, to minimise the risk of such accidents.
