Couple die and their child survived as car plunges into Kunhar River

Son survives with minor injuries; rescue teams retrieve bodies from Kunhar River

A tourist car plunged in deep ravine and fell into the Kunhar River in Kaghan Larri, Mansehra, killing a couple on the spot while their child miraculously survived.

According to details, there were three people in the car, a husband, wife and their child. The couple died on the spot however their son survived the accident. When local people rescued the child, he just had some minor injuries.

The car was registered with Sindh’s number plate and the couple was said to be from Hazro, Attock. When rescue 1122 recieved the information, they reached the scene with ambulance and transferred the bodies and the injured child to Kaghan Hospital.

Local residents and the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) emergency team assisted in recovering the bodies.
