Three dead and nine injured in road accident in Battagram

Rescue teams swiftly respond as District officials oversee emergency medical care

A tragic accident between two vehicles claimed three lives and nine severely injured here on Saturday, near Chinar Kot, Battagram.

As soon as Deputy Commissioner Battagram, Asif Ali Khan, recieved the news of incident, he ordered an emergengy response at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Battagram and he also immediately started financial aid.

According to details, accident occured because of high speed and slippery roads due to rain. Injured people were transferred immediately to District Headquater Hospital, Battagram, where they were provided required medical treatment. On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Battagram, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Akhtar Rasool, along with Tehsildar Sherzada, visited the hospital and met the injured. Along with senior District Administrations, police officers and officials were also present at the moment.

Additional Assistant Commisioner Battagram praised the hospital staff and other medical personnels to provide swift medical aid of the injured.

Severely injured people were transferred to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad for further treatment. further inestigation is ongoing.

In another update, Heavy rainfall in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa like Upper Dir and Kohistan, have led to droughts and caused widespread damage in the area.  flooding in canals and Kohistan River have swept away bridges, roads, houses and field. However, a child also died due to these floods. Heavy rainfall in popular tourist places of Kohistan, including Jahaz Banda, Lamoti, Badgwai and the Kumrat Valley became the reason of flash floods and severely affected their infrastructure.
