Rescue 1122 responds swiftly – injured referred to Swat hospital after vehicle plunges into ravine

A tragic traffic accident claimed one life and left another critically injured when a single-door Datsun vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine near Maidan Kala Kolai.

According to rescue officials, the car was traveling from Pattan to Maidan Kolai when the driver lost control. District Emergency Officer Haroon Rashid immediately dispatched Rescue 1122 teams with medical support upon receiving alerts.

Working with local police and residents, rescuers extracted two victims from the wreckage. The passenger, Charro son of Nurbaz, succumbed to injuries at the scene, while driver Yasin son of Nibaz, 40, sustained severe trauma.

“After providing first aid, we transported both victims to Pattan Tehsil Headquarters Hospital,” a Rescue 1122 spokesperson stated. “Given the severity of Yasin’s injuries, doctors referred him to Swat for advanced treatment.”

Rescue 1122’s prompt response demonstrated their critical role in remote areas, though the organization faces challenges reaching accident sites quickly in the region’s rugged terrain. Investigations into the crash’s exact cause are ongoing.
