Police officers involved in honey trap kidnapping gang

The criminal gang included serving police personnel Zahid Usman and Afaq, along with a woman accomplice who played a key role in entrapping the victims

Two police officers from Rawalpindi have been implicated in a brazen kidnapping-for-ransom operation using honey trap tactics. Islamabad police confirmed the arrest of one accomplice while hunting two rogue cops and their female associate after two citizens were abducted on March 29 in a scheme where protectors allegedly became predators.

According to police sources, the criminal gang included serving police personnel Zahid Usman and Afaq, along with a woman accomplice who played a key role in entrapping the victims. The abductors demanded ransom before the case was reported at Sangjani police station. Authorities have since arrested one suspect, Shahid Iqbal, while raids are underway to apprehend the remaining fugitives, including the rogue officers and their associate, Nadia.

The victims, identified as Mazain and Malook, were allegedly targeted through deception before being taken captive. This case has intensified concerns over criminal elements within law enforcement, raising serious questions about accountability and public safety. Police officials confirmed that an active manhunt is ongoing, vowing to bring all involved to justice.
