KPJA conducts training for female judges on gender violence & child justice

15 female judges participate in 5-Day program focused on sensitivity, inclusivity & stress management

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) organized a 05-Day Training on Gender-Based Violence, Gender Inclusivity, Gender Parity, Child Justice, and Stress Management for Female Judges/Qazis. Fifteen (15) female Judges of various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participate in the training.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, Director General, KP Judicial Academy, as the chief guest. Mr. Zia Ur Rahman, Dean Faculty, Dr. Qazi Ataullah, Senior Director Research & Publication, Mr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Senior Director Adminstration, Director Instructions, and other directors and officers of the Academy also attended the ceremony.
Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, DG, KPJA, in his inaugural speech, welcomed the participants. He highlighted that gender-based violence, gender inclusivity, gender parity and child justice are not merely legal issues rather they are profound societal challenges that demand a sensitive, informed, and deeply empathetic approach. He expressed that being female judges, thay are often at the forefront of addressing these issues, and their role is crucial in ensuring justice and protection for the vulnerable segments of society.
DG Academy futher highlighted that, with this end in view, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy has designed this 05-day comprehensive training program in order to provide the participants with specialized knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to handle these sensitive issues with empathy, fairness, and a deep understanding of gender dynamics.
The training shall stand concluded by March 28, 2025.
