Bisham transporters abandon new bus stand after dispute

SHANGLA: Transporters in Bisham left the newly built general bus stand and went to the old private bus stands after a dispute in the bus stand with Cab services.
Transporters in Bisham of buses, Toyota Hiece, motor cars, coasters shifted to the newly first-ever tehsil municipal Administration’s general bus stand a week ago but on Saturday after a quarrel between the bus stand contractor and cab services owners all buses, coasters, Hiece and motor cars returned back to the city mai bazaar old stations deserting the general bus stand.
Passengers have also faced severe difficulties due to twice shifting the bus stands from one to another place due to the conflict between the TMA, contractors and Rent A Car services owners.
Amanullah Khan, a contractor of the general bus stand, said that two cab services, Afridi rent A car and Nadeem Rent A car including the Kohistan Van service were not willing to shift to the TMA general bus stand and also filed a case in the court.
“All facilities are ensured in the general bus stand for both passengers and transporters, including offices, washrooms, waiting rooms and shops but the narrative of my opposition transporters is beyond understanding,” The contractor, Said.
Ghuoor Khan, enforcement officer TMA Bisham, when contacted, he told this scribe that they are striving to streamline the transporters services and regulate them for the public interest but some of them are creating problems.
He said, Rent A car and Kohistan transporter’s contractors were not adhering to come to the general bus stand due to which all the rest of transporters returned to their old private stations and gave a condition to them that they would come to the newly general bus stand if the Rent A Car and Kohistan transporter brought to the it.
He said, a case was also filed against TMA Bisham by one of the oppositions seeking permission to leave them in their old main bazaar stands.
The case was heard at family court Alpuri Shangla, where the court adjourned hearing in it on next November, 08 and asked the TMA to submit its reply.
The opposition of general bus stand’s transporters, said that the TMA has increased its charges, first they had given Rs 200 for per trip and now TMA asking to pay Rs 400 for per trip to Mansehra.
They said, that they could not afford the double fee of the bus stand and passengers also denies to pay extra charges as already petroleum products rates have been increased.
Sultan Khan, a transporter, said unless the both cab transporters and Kohistan bus stand transporters not returned to the general bus stand they would not come back to the general bus stand in protest.
The general bus stand at Bisham was remained deserted on Saturday, however passengers visiting it faced difficulties and returned disappointed to the old bus stands.
