19 perished in passenger bus and car collision in Upper Kohistan-KP

19 people were killed and 10 others injured in collision of a passenger bus and motor car at Herban area of Upper Kohistan on Karakoram Highway, Tuesday morning.

Speaking to The Northern Post, Dr Taj Muhammad from Rural Health Centre (RHC) Shetial, said that all dead bodies have been shifted to DHQ hospital Chilas for identification and the bodies to be handed over to families from Chilas.

Herban is a border area between Gilgit Baltistan Khybar Pakhtunkhuwah.

It was a collision of motor car and Masha Brum. The car was local and Masha Braum was coming from Gilgit. After collision, both vehicles fell into the Indus River.

Locals and police took part in the rescue work. The CM also advised to send a rescue team to Gilgit if needed.

13 deceased as identified are from Gilgit Baltistan areas (in passenger bus) 5 from Harban Upper Kohistan in Car. The local bodies had been handed over to their families in Harban Shetial.
