SHANGLA: Over 10,000 candidates who had applied for the 179 Class IV vacant posts of the health department awaiting the results of their applications for the last 6 months as the department neither announced any further development nor issued orders so far.
The applicants from various parts of the district Shangla, said that they have applied for the class-iv positions vacant in the different health facilities of the district and were advertised by the health department six months ago.
They said, neither received any reply from the health department nor they recruited anyone from the applicants so far and the posts were still vacant.
District Health Officer Shangla, Doctor Muhammad Riaz Khan Matta when contacted in this regard, he told The Northern Post that total 179 class-iv positions are vacant in the district health facilities in which 114 in district headquarters hospital, 16 in PK-23 Shangla-I constituency and 49 in PK-24 Shangla-II.
He said, they have almost completed the process for hiring the class-IV but it was in the domain of local MPAs, especially the minister for information Shaukat Yousafzai can address the issue.
The DHO said, the chief minister KP Mahmood Khan has also issued a directive in this regard to fill the lower class positions of all the facilities before February next month, however he has been transferred to Peshawar and coming DHO will see this matter further.
MAN ELECTROCUTED: A man was electrocuted at Martung Koz Kaly here on Saturday when he touched a power cable at his house.
Locals said that Ahmed Saad was repairing a power cable in house and suddenly he touched the a live wire and caused his death.
They said that he was taken to a nearby hospital but where doctors stated him dead and later his dead body was handed over to the family for funeral.
