ABBOTTABAD: Eid shopping is at peak in the markets of Hazara division’s major city Abbottabad, Women, men flocked to the various outlets for buying, clothes, shoes, jewellery and other necessities for upcoming religious festival Eidul-fiter.
Abbottabad is one of central part of Hazara region. It’s weather is very pleasant nowadays, comparatively other regions of the country. People from of the all surrounding areas rush to main city for Eid shopping.
Just two days before markets of the city were witnessed full of women and children and every one is busy in his/her Eid and edibles shopping.
The markets are also decorated with lights in eve of Eidul-fiter because mostly people prefer shopping at night.
As per chit chat with some of women shoppers, they complained about rates, “We came here for shopping for Eid but the price hike is hindrance in their shopping as everything is touching the sky,” Sadia Bibi, told The Northern Post.
“We are in trouble but we have to buy necessities for Eid. We have to fulfill needs of children as well as preserve our respect among the people with whom we live,” Tahira Bano, another female shopper, said.
She said, government should decrease the prices of daily use items of the people and must not snatch the happiness of festivals from the country’s dwellers.
Aqsa Sikanar, pointed out hat people coming for Eid shopping to the Markets are facing problems due to traffic jam on road and this issue has become a routine misery for the local citizens.
Shopping malls situated in the city were over crowded with customers as well as the grocery stores and bakeries.
Shopping in the Abbottabad markets to be continued till last night of Ramadan.
